district meeting and caring for companions

One of the biggest blessings of serving a mission is the love that grows for the Elders and Sisters you serve with. These young adults are amazing in their commitment and dedication to bringing God's children the light of the gospel. Elder and Sister Carlston are the most lovely senior couple anyone would want to meet. We have enjoyed developing new friendships.
All of these shiny faces have the light of the gospel emanating from their faces. This is just how real and wonderful it is to live the prescribed plan set forth by our Heavenly Father.

Senior Couples Meeting

Today Elder Holden and Elder Carter and I addressed this group of senior couples with information about the 40 day fast that we conducted in our stake in August and September. When this fast was conducted we had an outpouring of God's blessings as we participated in this endeavor and so we were invited to share this experience with all present.

This is a picture of Elder Carter passing out a sample of the letter we used to invite our Stake President to assist us. Also we included the letter that was sent to each bishop and ward mission leader.

I was very thankful for Elder Holden's presentation today. He was poised, confident and persuasive as he shared with these seniors his ideas and experiences with our stake fast.
We all love Elder Sotolongo and his kind heart and ways. He loves to make silly faces when I take photos just because his mother asked him not to.

District Meeting

Each week we receive instruction from our district leader who is Elder Holden. We enjoy this time together and learn how to become more effective in our missionary work.
Above is Sister Talbert, Sister Dodd, Sister Richardson and Sister Masih.
Sometimes our Zone leaders attend as well.  (below) This is Elder Kelly and Elder Gray. They bring a very good spirit to our meetings and offer valuable insight to the topics we may be discussing.
